Teaching and blogging. What's the point?

Teaching and blogging. Hmmm. Do I have time? Does anyone care? Does it matter if anyone cares?

These are all questions I asked myself when considering making a blog about my teaching experiences. I'm not quite sure I've answered all of them yet, like especially if I have enough time or not. I've decided it doesn't matter if anyone cares because this blog will help me organize my thoughts, as well as reflect. It's kind of like the journal I keep about my classroom, except this one is public and digital. I think it will help me reflect on my lessons, classroom management techniques, and relationships with students, as well as help me improve in those areas by having to ponder the daily going-ons of my classroom on this blog. It will also be really cool too get a little (possibly?) feedback sometimes as to what other people think of my lessons, etc.

Another way I might be able to use this blog is to post current changes, or lack-there-of, within the education field, to discuss my own views on the topic. I could find videos, articles, web pages, etc. that I could share with others, or simply have a nice place to store these things (and my comments) for reference later.
